Motivation Monday: Rowing Pauses and Why You Should Do Them

Happy Motivation Monday to You!

This is another installment in my series - Motivation Mondays - to help you get your week off to a good start with a tip, technique or motivational workout you can use immediately.

Today's tip, from the folks down under in Tasmania at DecentRowing.com, looks at pause drills and why you should do them. I also thought we could all use a break from erg vidoes about now.

The video, at just under 6 minutes, focuses on the correct pause position at each part of the rowing stroke - with a clear demonstration of proper form - and improper form for comparison - very helpful! The final part of the video addresses tension, wobble and flexibility as it impacts the sculler's form. Great tips for all rowing abilities!

Enjoy!
